Dr. Marcia Moody

Marcia Moody Dr. Marcia Moody is the founder and CEO of Moody Coaching and Consultation Services established in 2009.  She provides life coaching, dissertation mentoring, and consultation services for secondary and postsecondary institutions.  Her areas of expertise include diversity and inclusion for the 21st century, youth placed at risk, gifted children and adults, career counseling, online education and training, and motivational personal as well as business coaching. Dr. Moody earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, a master’s from the University of Maryland at College Park, and a doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Her career has spanned over 30 years and has included work as a: secondary teacher in the US and Spain, director of multicultural affairs, faculty member, and senior administrator.  In addition, Dr. Moody has conducted research and training sessions in England, Ghana, and South Africa.  She also served as the first African American Chairperson of the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS) and has co-authored a book chapter entitled Social Justice: Diversity as Action in the text Diversity in Mind and Action. Dr. Moody’s clients have included: Valdosta State University Department of Residence Life; Madonna University (Livonia, MI); County of Orange Department of Mental Health (CA); the State of Michigan Department of Education; 7-Eleven Corporation (Stoughton, WI); Woman Sage, an Orange County based organization dedicated to empowering women; and YouthBuild USA, a federally funded non-profit organization that provides GED assistance and career development services for youth placed at-risk.
